About

That’s me, Reid Highley, on the left and my wife, Weezie. We met in Chapel Hill, NC when Weezie was finishing up med school and I was architect-ing for a local firm. One coffee date and a dog walk later, we were set on a path that led to our wedding in 2010. A shared love of old houses and small towns made Hillsborough seem like a natural destination when we both landed jobs in nearby Durham.  We bought one of the oldest houses in town, built in 1754…we’ll never be bored or financially solvent again.

Things Weezie likes about the house:

• The yard is big enough to accommodate 27 dogs comfortably.
• The interior of the house has plenty of sniffs for dogs.
• It’s in a great dog-walking neighborhood.

Things Reid likes about the house:

• It was a gosh-darn freakin’ TAVERN in its former life.  Need I go on?
